Designed by a team with over twenty years experience in technical outdoor footwear and high-end fashion, this wealth of knowledge and experience coalesced during four years of research and development to produce the Onwuad Bawa boot. Driven by a vision to craft footwear with hybrid functionality, combining directional design, premium craftsmanship and superior comfort and performance. Vulcanized: The main rubber upper and sole use vulcanised technology for the highest quality bonding and strength. For seam-free superior wear and waterproofing.

Comfort and foot support: The contoured footbed has been technically designed for optimum support, featuring foot arch and heel support. An additional footbed is included with every pair to creates a multi fit option. This accommodates all foot shapes.

Durability: The rubber outer shell and sole has been designed to withstand a long life of extensive wear. Flex and abrasion tested with a reinforced

toe and heel. Internally lined with a soft breathable neoprene for superior warmth and comfort.

Traction and tread: The signature Onwuad sole and tread pattern has been modified for optimum function in all conditions and terrain.

A deeper tread design and a micro texture, enhances grip and provides superior traction control in the rain and snow.

Laboratory tested for back heel bond, sole abrasion, traction, flex, upper strength and waterproofing.

Fully lined neoprene inner , soft ergonomic foot bed and a warm thermal inner quilted upper. All on the Signature Onwuad TPR sole, boasting a height of 53mm.

Washable , Vegan 

Non toxic, recyclable and PVC, FC, PTFE and BPA free.

Care and cleaning: Use lukewarm or cold water and mild soap to wash the exterior. Never use harsh solvents, ensuring you remove mud after each use. Allow boots to air dry naturally, away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources like heaters or radiators, which can cause cracking. apply a small amount of olive oil/rubber conditioner to restore the original finish. Use a rubber-specific conditioner or 303 Protectant. 

For long-term care, clean and treat your boots with a specialized rubber care kit every few months to extend their life.

FIT NOTE: The Bawa fit is approximately half a size larger than the Onwuad sandals or standard sizing. The fit shape has been designed to accomodate thick socks and a variety of foot shapes. If the Bawa boot feels a bit roomy and you need a tighter fit, we recommend inserting the second supplied  inserts UNDERNEATH the fitted footbeds. Adding the second insert reduces the fit by approximately 1/2 size, but this is relative to your foot shape. Test this method first, however if you feel a size smaller would be a better fit, just let us know and we will happy help you with an exchange. 

The fitted footbed that comes inserted in the boots features an ergonomic shape with foot arch support. The Bawa boot also comes with an additional pair of flat footbeds. These can be switched or inserted together to allow you multiple fit options to best suit your foot shape and fit preference. 

NB as the Bawa runs approximately half a size larger than standard sizing, those who buy shoes in an EU 43 may find the 42 suitable.
